My name is Tina Seashore, and I am a dog lover to the core.
Originally from MN, I have lived in the DC area for more than 30 years. I am a loving, fun, adventure-seeking, and very responsible pet owner and mother of an awesome middle-schooler/artist/ninja.
I've been in the food/wine business in the DC area for decades, have always had cats and dogs in my life, and love being outdoors! In 2014, I decided to stay on the consumer end of food/wine and throw all my energy into the pet care business. I haven't looked back since and have never been more content. Life with (lots of) animals is really good.
In residence are 2 dog-friendly cats:
the zen superdog, Daisy, who is a friendly and playful wire-haired terrier mix. She gets along beautifully with all sized dogs.
And me with my favorite helper:
At the minimum, we go for walks 3 times a day, with the midday walk usually being an hour long and frequently at a fenced dog park. If the dog pack du jour is pack-oriented, an off-leash romp in the woods is our favorite!
We live in South Arlington, and our house backs to one of Arlington's great dog parks: Glencarlyn.
Your dog's happiness and comfort is very important to us. Please rest assured that your dog will be treated as a member of our family during his/her stay.
We look forward to hosting you!
How long have you been a dog lover? Tell us about your history with dogs.
I have loved dogs (and cats) always! My family always had at least one of each in the house when I was in MN. I would not be happy without fur people around...
What would you like to know about a dog before sitting him or her? Do you have any breed preferences?
We would prefer to meet the potential guest(s) before agreeing to a sit to make sure there is compatibility all around.
We have no breed preferences.
Do you have reliable transportation in the event of an emergency?
Yes, I have a car.
Are you comfortable administering medication?
Absolutely.
How much time do you plan on spending with my dog each day?
Lots! I pride myself in the very few hours my dog Daisy spends alone...your dog would be with us always.
If you have a backyard, please describe it.
My house backs to Arlington County woods. As of this month (January), my yard is fully fenced in, yay! I plan to use it as a place the dogs can romp briefly in the AM/PM, but still plan to do a big off-leash walk midday for interested pups.
Where will my dog sleep?
Your dog may sleep anywhere...crate, my bed, floor, sofa. That's how we roll. :)
Where will you take my dog on walks? Tell me about it.
We do brief walks in the AM/PM and generally at least one off leash adventure to a fenced dog park midday. If your dog is pack-oriented, then it's off to the woods locally or in DC's Rock Creek Park for some off leash crazy fun!
I spend a great deal of time with the pups, we go for several awesome daily walks...lots of interaction, exercise, and love!
